Can I use it to clean my bird's cage?

Absolutely — steam is actually the safest and most effective way to clean a bird cage. No chemicals, no fumes, nothing toxic near your bird's sensitive lungs. However always remove your bird from the cage before steaming and allow the cage to cool completely before letting them back in. Never steam while your bird is inside.
Can I use it on glass surfaces?

Yes but with one important warning. Never point steam directly at cold glass — the sudden temperature change can cause it to crack. Always warm the glass surface gently first by holding the nozzle a few centimetres away before moving closer. This applies to oven doors, shower screens and any glass panels.
Can I use it to clean carpets?

Yes — but always use distilled water in the tank, not tap water. Tap water contains minerals that build up inside the machine over time and reduce performance. More importantly never steam a carpet that has pet urine stains without treating it first — the heat can set the stain deeper into the fibres and make the smell worse. Pre-treat the area first then steam once the treatment has dried completely.
