Housed in impact-resistant ABS, OzoFreshen is built for one job: sitting in the worst-smelling room in the house and running without attention. There is no fabric, no foam and no absorbent media anywhere in the unit, so nothing inside it can become saturated, go stale, or start smelling worse than what it was put there to handle.

The vented housing lets air pass through the unit continuously at 50 m³/h. The internal battery draws 5W and recharges over USB from any standard phone charger, laptop or power bank — no proprietary cable, and no wall adapter taking up an outlet you need for something else.

At 110 grams and under six inches long, it sits on a shelf, on the floor beside a litter pan, inside a cabinet, or in a vehicle without being noticed. There is one button, and there is nothing to assemble.

• Up to 90% of pet odor is airborne rather than sitting on a surface. Urine releases ammonia into the air, waste releases sulfur compounds, and coat oils go airborne every time an animal moves. Shampooing a carpet wets the surface the smell was sitting on without addressing what is already circulating in the room.

• Standard mode runs for up to 30 days between charges. Strong mode runs for up to 72 hours and is meant for a room that needs bringing back under control before you switch to daily upkeep. Charging is over USB from any phone charger, laptop or power bank.
• Double-click the button to switch it on and press and hold to switch it off. If your unit does not respond to the double-click, press and hold to power on instead — both methods are supported. Pressing again cycles between Standard and Strong. There is no app, no pairing and nothing to configure.
• At 14.5 cm and 110 grams, it fits where the odor is worst rather than where a full-size purifier will physically go. Litter rooms, laundry rooms, utility closets, basements without windows, coat closets, shoe cabinets and vehicles.
• Nothing is tethered to an outlet. Move it between rooms to work out where it is needed most, take it to a rental, a camper or a car, or run it in a room with no outlet anywhere near the problem.
